Ambleside has a bustling centre with an excellent selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants, along with water activities such as the lake cruises. Also the infamous Bridge House, one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District is just yards away from this delightful holiday home. Alternatively, enjoy a meal in one of the many pubs. After a day at Coniston, Grasmere or Windermere, or indeed after a days hiking, this beautiful cottage awaits you when you return. The town of Ambleside is situated at the northern tip of Lake Windermere. There's plenty to see and do here, including cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself, along with numerous shops, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes.
