St Mellion Hotel Golf and Country Club is a premier golf, leisure and health spa, just over 8 miles from Plymouth. The extensive on-site facilities for all the family include two championship courses: the International Nicklaus and Kernow. There is also a driving range, top class leisure, swimming and health spa, tennis, pool table, licensed restaurants and bars. Free and discounted green fees are available for on-site residents. The detached lodges are amidst the courses and beautiful Cornish countryside.

This lodge (No 35) has one large bedroom upstairs with balcony and adjacent full bathroom. The bed can be requested to be set up as a large double (super king) or 2 singles.

Downstairs there is a combined lounge and dining room, with a pull-down double bed in the dining space. There is a full kitchen (recently re-fitted), shower/toilet room and utility room for storage and washing machine.
The kitchen has a double oven, microwave, 4-ring electric hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster together with all the cooking and dining equipment you'd expect for 4 persons.

For St Mellion lodge residents, a free round of golf on the Kernow course is included each weekday for 2 persons (over £400 of standard green-fees value). Should you require additional golf play, weekend play and guest rounds are charged at the seasonal discounted rate for hotel guests, including discounted rates for the Nicklaus course. Once you book the lodge I can help liaise with the golf office for pre-arranging your preferred tee times.

The lodge is located in the pleasant grounds of the golf course. The main resort hotel building is 5 minutes walk through the grounds, where residents have unlimited free access to indoor swimming pools, jacuzzi, sauna & steam rooms, the gym and fitness classes (book classes such as body-pump and yoga as soon as you arrive to avoid disappointment). Tennis courts can also be booked.
The hotel requests that you bring your own towels if you plan on visiting these facilities. Alternatively, towels can be hired from Leisure reception for £2.

The hotel has 2 restaurants, a bar/coffee shop, the golf clubhouse and bar, and houses the golf pro shop with all the usual golf supplies.

The lodge will be ready from 4pm on the Saturday of arrival. Please report to main hotel reception to pick up your keys (for Lodge 35). Check out is at 10am Saturday.

Instructions for the appliances in the lodge can be found in the telephone table. Electricity is charged (at checkout time) - 7p for the low tariff (storage heaters & hot water) and 11p for general consumption (those were 2021 rates). WiFi is available and the password will be provided upon arrival. No pets are allowed on the resort.

Nearby places I like to visit include: walking sections of the South West Coast Path, and walking among the stone circles in the wild moorland accessible from Minions.

Directions from Bristol/London, take the M4 and M5 south. At Exeter, follow the A38 signed Plymouth and then Liskeard. Approximately 1 mile beyond the Tamar Bridge, at the first roundabout, turn right onto the A388 and follow the signs for St.Mellion. Proceed through the village and the Golf and Country Club is on the left at the roundabout. Continue down driveway past a few cottages, and the hotel main reception is located on the left hand side as you reach the main building. You may park outside reception while you check in.

The lodge is my timeshare week that I have been enjoying for many years, but unfortunately cannot visit this year, hence offering it to others. Only one week is available - 7 nights from the check in date of Saturday 16th July 2022. Late arrivals are accommodated, as is early departure.
