Venture into Dorchester to shop, dine out, and explore the National Trust’s Hardy’s House, Max Gate, where the renowned author of Tess of the d’Urbervilles lived. Pack a picnic and head 16.5 miles to the limestone arch of Durdle Door on the picturesque Isle of Purbeck. Spend time on the coast here, snorkelling and swimming in the clear waters.
