For a fabulous walk and incredible views from the summit, climb Pendle Hill (in what’s known as ‘witch country’), 2 miles away, or follow the 5.5-mile Tolkien Trail, which starts in Hurst Green (6 miles) for the beautiful scenery which inspired the author of The Lord of the Rings. The edge of the Yorkshire Dales is less than 20 miles away or, for a completely different day out, you can reach the bright lights of Blackpool in just 32 miles.
When you step into this handsome holiday escape, you’ll immediately notice the delightful combination of original beams and exposed stone with modern flair and furnishings.
