Corbridge, a pretty Roman town, is an easy drive with some gorgeous cafés, pubs and bespoke shops to explore, whilst a little further you will find Hexham with its abbey and a great choice of shops and eateries. Newcastle upon Tyne is easily reached from here and the heritage coast peppered with castles and golden beaches makes a great day out.
