This 19th-century former fisherman’s stone cottage stands in a lovely position, 200 metres from the harbour, in a popular coastal village of Craster. Famous for its smoked kippers and cliff scenery with stunning walks along to Dunstanburgh Castle, once voted one of the top walks in England. Tastefully furnished and decorated, Driftwood has been renovated to provide good quality holiday accommodation with lovely harbour views from the pretty outdoor decked area. The beach beyond at Embleton, 1½ miles, is an unspoilt golden beach suitable for all ages. Alnwick the ducal town with cobbled street , a choice of eateries and shops, and not to be missed majestic castle and enchanting water gardens is only 6 miles. The friendly village pub and café cater for all age groups, only a 2-minute walk away. Newcastle and Scottish Borders 35 miles. Golf and fishing are available locally. Shop and pub ¼ mile.
