Sandown is a lovely destination for a seaside holiday, with bathing waters, miles of soft golden sands, and an entertaining pleasure pier. The Esplanade has seaside cafes, souvenirs, and beach shops together with several restaurants, all with glorious sea views. The pier is a year-round destination with traditional pier amusements together with bumper cars, crazy golf, bowling, a soft play area for little ones, and, in summer, great fishing off the pier end.
