A beautifully converted former cart lodge and store in a quiet rural location, formerly part of the Thornham Estate. Sleeping up to four guests in two well-appointed bedrooms, The Cart Lodge is ideal for couples or a small family seeking some peace and tranquillity in the Suffolk countryside.
Set in the grounds of Grove Barn, the former cart lodge and store was originally built in 1873 and was converted around 2005 with further improvements being made in 2021. The property is made up of all first floor accommodation and is accessed via the external staircase from the parking area. Upon entering the property, there is a generous hallway with a useful cupboard for hanging coats etc as well as housing the washer/dryer. There is a large, open-plan living space including a well-equipped, modern kitchen and a dining area for up to four guests. The sitting area has plenty of comfy seating with a 42" television and Amazon Firestick so you can snuggle up with a good film or watch your favourite series beneath the beautiful vaulted ceiling after a long day of exploring the picturesque local area. Adorning the walls throughout the property and sensitively complementing the furnishings throughout the property, you will notice the unique artwork which has been created by the homeowners' talented daughter. Off the hallway are two well-appointed bedrooms and the shared shower room. The master bedroom features an impressive 6' super-king size bed whereas the second bedroom has a 5' king-size bed. Both bedrooms benefit from ample storage and wardrobe space so there's no excuse for not unpacking your suitcase during your stay. The shower room is generously sized and has a luxurious walk-in shower.
Outside, guests have access to a private garden at the rear of the property where they can enjoy an evening barbecue and parking is provided for up to two cars. The Cart Lodge boasts an excellent rural location in the Suffolk countryside whilst being within easy reach of the spectacular coastline.
