This beautiful cottage is situated in the heart of Willimoteswick Castle Farm, a historic monument, surrounded in idyllic scenery. This historic monument is famously known as the birthplace of Bishop Ridley. The walks from the door take you in all directions and the nature and wildlife are amazing. The picturesque village of Bardon Mill is only a mile down the road where you'll find a cosy country pub serving delicious food. Haltwhistle is 15 mins drive famously known as The Centre of Britain, with many cosy cafes, pubs and restaurants, local shops and a large open air swimming pool and leisure centre. 15 to 20 mins drive brings you to the world famous Hadrian's Wall and all the great visitors centres including, Vindolanda, Housesteads, Chesters and lots more ancient Roman history sites. The Coast of Northumberland can be reached in less than an hour’s drive as well as the city of Newcastle and The Metro Centre, Europe's 2nd largest shopping centre with something for everyone.
This spacious and airy residence features a welcoming entrance porch and boot room leading through to a light-filled open-plan lounge/diner which provides a wonderful space for you all to settle back and relax in after a fabulous day out. The final room is a cheerful bunk bedroom with three single beds and Smart TV, perfect for younger guests. There is also a cosy snug area with a glass roof, perfect for stargazing on a clear night. This floor also has a soothing family bathroom and a snug reading area in the hallway.
Stepping outside, the large garden is enclosed and features a charming lawn, a fantastic children’s play area, a bubbling luxury therapy hot tub and a covered dining area. Exploring the grounds further and discover a private stream with fenced off seating area and mini forest. Private parking is available for four cars, and there’s ample bike storage space in the shed. Please note the cottage is next to a working farm, so please be mindful of the livestock.
