138D Old Star & Garter Mews is a lovely mews cottage located in the heart of the town of Ludlow, close to all amenities and with a traditional feel. There's also bike storage in the property so you can enjoy all the town's attractions on two wheels and there is private parking for one car. The kitchen is kitted out with an electric oven, a hob, a microwave, a larder fridge, and a washing machine. Walking through the property, the living/dining is furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, an electric fire, and a TV for DVDs for some downtime. Savour home-cooked meals together at the dining table and afterwards you can unwind in the first-floor bathroom with a soothing soak in the tub. Adjacent is the well-presented bedroom appointed with a double bed, storage and bedside lamps for a night-time read. In the morning, sip your cup of tea on the front patio before heading out on foot to explore the medieval market town of Ludlow. The town is situated on the River Teme and surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys. Visitors can explore the castle, the Whitcliffe Common Nature Reserve, or relax at one of the town's spas. Venture to Church Stretton, a charming market town in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. It is well known for its beautiful countryside and attractions such as Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd, Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, and Ragleth Hill. Further afield is the town of Shrewsbury, hosting a variety of attractions, certain to entice history buffs with The Quarry, Shrewsbury Prison and Shrewsbury Castle. The medieval market town of Ludlow is situated on the River Teme, amidst the beautiful countryside of the Welsh Marches. With more than 500 listed structures, the town presents a remarkable diversity of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is almost 900 years old and is one of the first stone castles to be erected in England. Today the castle is open all year round and hosts a wide range of events including outdoor theatre, gastronomy, art and literature festivals and various antique and art fairs. Below the castle, Millenium Green features a wide public riverside green and weir and provides great indoor and outdoor dining facilities via the Green Cafe positioned right on the riverside.
