The quiet lanes are ideal for cycling and walking, with the village pub only 500 yards away. The glorious sandy beach and dunes at Winterton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth and its family fun or BeWILDerwood, a tree top adventure park which children will love, are all within easy reach.
Other places to visit include the pretty village of Acle with its riverside inn, Wroxham, known as the capital of the Broads, which offers boat hire and boat trips, and the medieval city of Norwich, 10 miles, with its cathedral, castle, cinemas and excellent shopping.
