Nestled between the eastern flank of the Brendon Hills and the Quantock Hills is the idyllic village of Stogumber, set amidst the stunning countryside of Somerset. Those visiting this quaint village can look forward to meandering the high street, which is lined with thatched cottages and the heritage highlight of the 14th-century, St Mary's Church. Within the village, you will also a plethora of amenities including a village shop and post office, a school, a country pub, and several small specialist shops. As well as the notable parish church, the village plays host to a carved tomb of Sir George Sydenham, the father-in-law of Sir Francis Drake and a rare medieval stone pulpit, one of only two in Somerset, just two of the many historical highlights within the area.
