The outstanding Bowness-on-Windermere is just 10 miles away and has something to suit every taste including Windermere, the largest natural lake in the country, The World of Beatrix Potter and a selection of restaurants and cafés. West down the A590 is the colourful and friendly market town of Ulverston famous for it's delightfully eclectic mix of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
