A door leads out from the kitchen into an enclosed patio garden with furniture. This sun trap is the perfect setting for sitting out and enjoying a home-cooked meal in the relaxing afternoon sun. Upstairs there are three elegant bedrooms, and a modern family bathroom. The village of Mortehoe is a sleepy settlement of cottages with a small selection of pubs and shops only a five minute walk away. The lovely Grunta beach is only half a mile walk from Seal Cottage. Just a mile away is the laid-back village of Woolacombe, offering a bustling atmosphere, a Blue flag rated beach as well as a number of shops and eateries. Seal Cottage is an elegant base in a fantastic location, perfect for those looking for beautiful beaches, pretty villages and plenty of walking opportunities.
Mortehoe boasts spectacular views with its cliff top location sitting just above Woolacombe. Listed in the Doomsday Book, the Museum gives you an insight into Old Morte and tales of smugglers and stranded ships. Fabulous walks along Morte Point, part of the South West Coastal Path, with breathtaking scenery will bring you to hidden sands and into the neighbouring village, Lee. A village store provides all your needs and there are a selection of pub/restaurants offering local produce. Walk down the winding road and stop off at one of the beaches on your way to Woolacombe with its 3-mile stretch of golden sands. Serene in summer and wild and rugged in winter, once you have sampled this beautiful area you will want to return time and time again.
