The location of the cottage is wonderful, with the hamlet of Newbiggin close by, only a short walk bringing you to Low Force (where the movie 2017 was filmed), Gibsons Cave and Bowlees and just a short drive from the amenities of Middleton-in-Teesdale. Discover the historic town of Barnard Castle nearby, with its quaint cobbled streets, Victorian architecture, independent shops and antique centres. Also in the area is Raby Castle and deer park, Hamsterley Forest, the Bowes Museum and just a mile down the road is the stunning High Force waterfall of the River Tees.
