The Woodcote (cottage in the wood) at Deer Run is a 4-bedroom 3-bathroom cottage on 1 acre of beautiful Carolinian Forest just 10 minutes south of Grand Bend, directly opposite the Pinery Provincial Park. We offer the use of our Provincial Park vehicle day pass to our guests at no extra charge. During high season (June - Sept) and especially on weekends the Pinery recommends making a reservation a day or so in advance to ensure you can enjoy a visit to this beautiful provincial park.
The cottage is on municipal water and septic system.
Some of the many nearby attractions include the Huron Country Playhouse, Grand Bend Motorplex, golf courses, public beaches at Ipperwash and Grand Bend, hiking trails, biking, and canoeing in the Pinery, shopping, Farmers Markets, Flea Markets, Antique Dealers and the Kettle Point Pow wow.
This cottage is a very clean and cozy getaway in a quiet neighborhood situated amongst tall mature pine and oak trees and offers plenty of space for 1 or even 2 small families, with lots of space to park. The screened in porch located off the kitchen is perfect for enjoying meals outdoors or a place to sit and read without the bugs. Skylights in the kitchen and dining areas as well as lots of windows make for a bright cheerful interior. Sleeps 9.
Features include a gas fireplace located centrally in the living area, central air conditioning, high speed wireless internet and 2 wall mounted TV's (1 each located in the finished basement and in the living area) which are both set up with Fire TV sticks that include Netflix, Prime Video and more. There are a few board games, a ping pong table and a dart board in the basement rec room, plus you'll also find a few yard games located in the deck box.
You are welcome to use the laundry facilities located in the basement.
