The Space:
Eliza Farm offers you the chance to reconnect with the great outdoors and enjoy the ultimate tranquil break. The cosy, wooden pods have everything you could need for a relaxing retreat for two including your very own hot tub. Nestled on a private site, you’ll also have access to a shared BBQ grill cabin and a shared sauna cabin during your stay.
Each glamping pod boasts a comfortable double bed with premium bed linens and plush bedding, plus a modern sofa. You’ll be able to make the most of your self-catering stay as each glamping pod also has a fridge freezer, hob, dishes, cutlery and cookware.
The ensuite shower room benefits from a walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Each glamping pod also has the added luxury of its own hot tub so you can kick start your morning with a dip or enjoy a soak as the night draws in.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to Glamping Pod 1. The keys to the pod are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
Guests will also have shared access to a BBQ grill cabin and a sauna cabin.
Private on-site parking is available.
A sofa bed can be made up inside the pod.

Eliza Farm is nestled on a private site in the village of Lanchester. Located in the northwest of County Durham, it’s perched on the eastern bank of the River Derwent, high on the edge of the Pennines.
A once prominent steel-marking town, today Consett is a vibrant place with restaurants and cafes. Home to County Durham’s oldest theatre, you can head to Empire Theatre during your stay for a fun night. If you’d prefer a more relaxed visit, you can explore The Glass and Art Gallery, or Derwent Reservoir.
The Coast to Coast cycle route passes through Consett and is known as the UK’s most popular long-distance cycle route.
If you’re looking to explore during your stay, you can reach Durham in 25 minutes and Newcastle in 35 minutes by car.
Getting Around:
The closest train station is Stocksfield which is a 20-minute drive away. Stocksfield is a small yet sprawling commuter village which is served by the Tyne Valley Line, with trains running to Newcastle, Hexham and Carlisle.
Consett bus station is a 10-minute drive from Eliza Farm. From there, you’ll find routes to Durham, Newcastle, Chester-le-Street and Sunderland.
