Sandpipers is situated in the small, peaceful hamlet of Fenham-le-Moor in Belford looking out towards Holy Island. Belford has a thriving and friendly market square at its centre, brimming with independent shops, restaurants and inns. It’s an ideal base for those wanting to partake in a spot of fishing and golfing.
Sandpipers is just a short 15-minute drive from the gorgeous coastal village of Bamburgh. Here you’ll find miles of stunning sandy shores and Bamburgh Castle, which is one of the finest castles in the country. Getting Around:
Sandpipers is located within 20 minutes’ drive time to beautiful areas within Northumberland such as Bamburgh, Seahouses and Beadnell. There are excellent travel links as the cottage is only a short distance from the A1.
The closest train station is Chathill, which is roughly a 20-minute drive from Sandpipers so local towns in Northumberland can easily be reached via rail.
There are a number of bus stops throughout Belford. Hop on the 418 service to explore Bamburgh, Beadnell, Alnwick and Alnmouth amongst others. The X18 route travels between Newcastle and Berwick upon Tweed with stops in Morpeth, Amble and Seahorses.
Newcastle Airport is roughly one hour away by car.
