Sleeps 10 - Swilken House sits in an enviable location just outside St Andrews, very much in the country but only 5 minutes drive from the town. The house benefits from plenty of car parking to the front on a paved driveway, and there are generous garden grounds with outdoor dining areas. The south facing aspect of the house means that it will benefit from the sun for most of the day.
Entering through the front door brings you into a generous porch area where you can discard the sandy items on returning from a day at the beach or get out of wet jackets and boots (should it rain). Alternatively entering through the back door brings you into a utility room complete with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Once through the porch you are in the large L-shaped living room complete with wood burning stove and Smart TV. This is a generous space where adults and children can spread out to relax. There is a corridor off the living room leading to the large open plan kitchen diner. it is equipped with all the appliances you would expect and there is a dining table to comfortably accommodate a full house. Patio doors at the end of the dining area lead to a paved area with out door seating and onwards to the garden which has another outdoor seating area.
There are two bedrooms off the ground floor corridor, one double bedroom and one bunk room with bunk single beds. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Stairs lead from the living room area to the first floor where you will find three further bedrooms. The first is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There is a twin bedded room which sits opposite the second family bathroom which has a hand held shower on the bath. The final bedroom is the lovely Master with a king-size double bed and en-suite shower room.
There is plenty of storage space in the house, it is has oil fired central heating along with solar panels on the roof.
Swilken House is a super property which provides everything you need for a larger group holiday.
