Welcome to our newly refurbished, luxury apartment. Situated in the wing of a 17th Century Manor House, this self contained apartment benefits from its own private entrance, spacious rooms with high ceilings and large windows overlooking stunning views of the formal gardens.
There are over 80 acres of gardens / countryside and a 3km woodland trail for you to explore.
Located on the rural Essex / Suffolk border, we are just 3 miles from Colchester the oldest recorded town in Britain.
The space:
This recently refurbished apartment is in a completely private wing of our Grade II* listed manor house, with its own entrance and plenty of parking.
The apartment includes a large master bedroom with a king-size bed, a smaller kids bunk room, full bathroom, office area, full kitchen with all the amenities and a living area with comfortable seating and large SMART TV.
You will have access to 80 acres of estate park land, so bring your bikes (we can safely store them) and your walking / running shoes to explore over 3km of woodland trails.
Enjoy family fun by rowing at our private lake, come and pet the goats, sheep and horses, or borrow a hamper and have a private picnic anywhere on the estate. For an additional charge you can have exclusive fishing rights for the day on the 1 acre carp lake (home to over a dozen 25lbers)

Guests can have a completely private experience, the apartment has its own private entrance and stairs and there is a large private garden for the sole use of guests.
However there is also always lots of friendly faces around the estate, from people working here to tenants who live here, so it is quite easy to have a chat or to ask questions about the local area.
Guests are free to explore most of the gardens of the estate, the only restrictions are the historic greenhouses of the walled garden which have not yet been restored and the agricultural stables next door.
The East Wing gardens are dedicated for the private use of our guests to enjoy sitting in the sun, having a BBQ or even playing croquet.
The West Wing gardens is where our family tends to hang out. You are free to stroll around these gardens or even come join us for a game of rounders or badminton.
