The property is located next door to the owner’s home, it is all on one level with comfortable and contemporary accommodation comprising an open plan living area with TV, dining area and kitchen. The bedroom has a double bed and there’s a shower room with a walk-in shower. Outside you’ll find a shared lawn and woodland and a private enclosed courtyard with seating and spaces to enjoy a lovely meal or evening drink.
Locally you will find an archery centre and the famous Warhorse Museum. Hatherleigh is nearby, with two pubs, a shop, fish and chip shop, tourist information and a great café that does all day breakfasts and delicious homemade cakes. This part of rural Devon is known as Ruby Country, ideal for walkers and countryside lovers, and is also within easy reach of the Tarka Trail which offers spectacular off-road walking and cycling.
Further afield, the stunning coastline offers plenty of beaches, ideal for surfing, swimming, and rock pool fun. The coastal towns of Bude, Clovelly, Bideford and Westward Ho! are all within easy reach by car, where you will find traditional seaside activities, surfing and the Southwest Coast Path. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow and Port Isaac, made famous by ’Doc Martin’, the hit TV series, are well worth a visit, as is mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s castle. A shorter drive south takes you to the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park where you can have a delightful pub lunch in the village of Belstone or take a walk on the moors and see Dartmoor ponies. Stunning Exmoor with its amazing night skies, Bodmin Moor, RHS Rosemoor at Great Torrington, several National Trust properties and a good variety of visitor attractions are all within easy reach too.
