Jasmine House retains its original Georgian character and is traditionally furnished to a high standard. Off a spacious entrance hall, the very well equipped kitchen/dining room is on the ground floor and includes the dishwasher and washing machine. The dinning table accommodates 6 adults. The spacious sitting room is on the first floor, as is the bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with built in shower, a basin and a toilet. There is an additional toilet on the second floor. The three bedrooms are on the second floor and include a double, a triple and a SMALL twin (WITH NEW BEDS). This is ideal for children but cramped for two adults. All beds are adult but the ones in the twin room are standard width (2' 6"), whereas the other single beds are 3' in width. In the double room is a (new - 2020) king size bed (5' in width). The double room also has its own basin; a toilet is also situated on the 2nd floor. The sea is visible from all rooms except the bathrooms. There is a cellar for surf boards, bikes etc. Immediately in front of Jasmine House is a sheltered terrace with benches and space for BBQs. Beyond the terrace is a small lawn. There is another terrace on the second level of the garden that slopes up the hill behind Sandsend. The garden is exclusively for the use of guests and a bonus in this immediate area where few cottages have gardens. Jasmine House is just 3 miles from Whitby and 50 miles from York.
