Shop Cottage is a very well presented self catering cottage that was converted from part of the old village shop in 2017 by the owners to provide spacious accommodation for up to four people. The cottage is on two levels and has a downstairs lounge, kitchen/diner , shower-room and upstairs contains the two double size bedrooms one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. The alterations where done in a way as to keep as much of the charm of the building as possible so the lounge has kept it’s flooring and the kitchen diner retains its beams and vaulted ceilings and the sloping floors upstairs all add to the character of the cottage. For those who wish to check emails whilst they are away from home can do so as the cottage has WiFi. Shop Cottage is part of Jolly's Of Goodrich and so is semi detached or part of the main building. We are situated at the foot of Coppett Hill right in the centre of the picturesque village of Goodrich. With Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth only a few miles either side of us, and the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat close by too we really are in the perfect spot for a glorious time away any time of year. Goodrich itself has some great features, including two public houses, St Giles Church, a local traditional village shop with Post Office and the beautiful sandstone Goodrich Castle all within walking distance. With opportunities to go canoeing nearby on the River Wye and many breathtakingly stunning walks all around us we offer the perfect place to stay while taking in the wonderful Wye Valley. Herefordshire and the Wye Valley is one of the best kept secrets with its low population, great countryside, “foodie” towns such as the world famous Ludlow, historic book towns Hay-On-Wye. Not forgetting Hereford itself with it’s Cathedral containing the Chain Library and Mappa Mundi. Although there is no off-street parking provided there is plenty of parking around the building which has no restrictions so you can park very close to the cottage.
