Fully renovated to an extremely high standard, the cottage is a spacious & luxurious retreat with wonderful views over the Dales. Renowned local village pub is only a stone's throw away. Perfectly situated for cycling and and walking in the Dales whilst also within easy reach of Middleham, Leyburn, Masham, & the A1. Ample free car parking. Dog friendly!
The space
South View has recently been renovated from head to toe into a stylish, comfortable retreat. We have sympathetically refurbished the cottage, whilst maintaining its wonderful character. It is spacious and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. On to the cottage…
Enter through the front door into the large kitchen-dining area. There is a large dining table with benches, seating up to 8 guests. The kitchen has recently been fully transformed into a sleek, functional, and contemporary area to cook and entertain. There is a good sized, built-in fridge, freezer & dishwasher. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and cooking equipment.
Off the dining room is what we like to refer to as the green snug. There are two cosy sofas in here with a smart-TV, perfect for relaxing in or placing the kids whilst cooking.
The kitchen leads to the downstairs hallway. Under the stairs is where the washing machine is located.
Follow along the downstairs corridor, to the WC / shower room. This has recently been fully modernised with Italian wall and floor tiles and a new bathroom suite. There is a good sized, electric shower.
To the end of the downstairs corridor is the stable wing. On ground floor there is the main house lounge. There’s enough space in here for all guests to sit and relax on the comfortable L-sofa. There is a 42 inch smart-TV with a Netflix account already signed in for your enjoyment. A truly pleasant room to chill out in after that long walk.
Above the lounge is one of our king size bedrooms. This room is spacious and has beautiful views over the countryside, front and back. The bed is a luxurious upholstered sleigh bed. Delightfully comfortable with fresh, hotel quality bed linen and pillows. This room is great for those wanting a little more privacy from the rest of the guests, as it is a little bit away from the rest of the bedrooms.
Going back down the downstairs corridor and up the main staircase, you come to our house bathroom and three further bedrooms.
The bathroom has also been recently completely renovated. It is spacious and has a full size ‘shower bath’ with overhead drench shower.
The master bedroom also features a king size luxurious upholstered sleigh bed. It is such a comfortable room with lots of storage. The views over the hills and beautiful; a perfect place to see sun rise.
The third bedroom is a good-sized double. Super cosy and comfortable.
The fourth bedroom is a large twin room featuring two, 3-foot (not those nasty 2 foot 6!) beds. This is one of our favourite rooms, it’s just so peaceful. There is a feature ornamental fireplace.
