Beautiful Saffron Cottage is a true 'home from home' . When you step into this contemporary, light filled and immaculate property, your Cornish holiday can really start! We have tried our utmost to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible with everything you can want or need. We have owned the cottage for six years and each year, we update, decorate and improve it.
The ground floor has a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. There are plenty of comfy sofa's, throws and cushions to relax on, a smart TV with Netflix and plenty of DVD's, a Bose speaker and lots of books and games to enjoy with a cosy wood burner and underfloor heating to ensure that whatever the weather holds, you can enjoy the cottage at any time of the year. There is a generous dining table with eight chairs, ideally placed to relax and keep the chef company in the lovely, well organised kitchen, complete with everything you need to cook, bake and entertain if you want to. There is a Nespresso coffee machine for the caffeine hit!
Large sliding glass doors open out onto a spacious, sunny area which is entirely composite decking. A large table and eight chairs, with parasol, BBQ and a bistro table/chairs ensure that you have all that you need to enjoy the sunshine and countryside views. There are sunbeds too if you don't head to one of the fabulous nearby beaches!
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and a family bathroom (with a bath). Each bedroom has been thoughtfully decorated to provide useful storage and maximum comfort for a good night's sleep. The master bedroom has a very comfy king size Simba bed/mattress and an en-suite shower room. There is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a bunk room. Whilst the bunks are full size, this room is really intended to be used by children, rather than adults.
Outside, there is a large, lockable Biohort shed which can hold bikes and boards during your stay if you wish to bring them. At the front of the cottage, there is a beautiful bench (useful for pulling wellies on and off, or to relax on!) there are two large raised borders with mature shrubs, ferns, agapanthus and lavender borders. The cottage is shielded from the lane with mature hedging and there is parking for up to three cars. There is an outside tap, hose and hooks - ideal for rinsing off sandy gear and wetsuits.
We have flexible changeover days, usually over the weekend. Please email us to discuss days and if we can accommodate you, then we will try our best. The same applies if you are only travelling as a small group/couple or would like a slightly shorter stay. This will only apply during the quieter months... again, if we can help, then we will do so.
