You’re under a 15 minute walk to the nearest tube that connects you to Oxford Circus in just 5 minutes. My stylish and comfortable home has a private roof terrace with fantastic views over London! This apartment is one story higher than the surrounding buildings, so it has panoramic views of the neighbourhood from every window and the lovely private terrace. It’s wall-to-wall windows in this lovely rooftop apartment located just a few streets away from Canonbury’s famous tree-lined riverwalk. Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace or hop on the train and be in central London in minutes. My stylish 2 bedroom apartment is the perfect base when visiting London. Conveniently located in the exciting area of Canonbury and with great transport links, you’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle! The living area is light and airy with a beautiful, modern design and lovely finishing touches. Relax on the sofa, hang out with your friends, make yourself at home! It’s a welcoming and inviting space where you can kick back. If cooking is your thing, you’re going to love spending time in the stylish kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use - you’ll enjoy showing off your culinary skills here! There’s even a welcome pack stuffed full of coffee, tea (of course!), and proper English scones. The master bedroom has a super comfortable double bed and, with fresh luxury linens, what more do you need for a good night’s sleep? You don’t have to live out of your suitcase; plenty of storage room means you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away. The second bedroom has a lovely double sofa bed, perfect for a great night’s sleep. Freshen up in the luxurious bathroom - enjoy a luxurious soak in the tub or wake up in the mornings with a refreshing shower. White fluffy towels and shampoo are provided! A venue for all ages, the market boasts exceptional local produce, hot food and children's activities. Enjoy a kebab from Mangal1 and the other great bars along in Kingsland Road Alwyn Castle, The Snooty Fox and The Alma are all fantastic nearby pubs. Nearby Essex Road is a hub of activity and there’s plenty to discover and explore. Here are some of our tips and suggestions! The London Cocktail Club is a speakeasy-style bar with exposed brick walls and leather banquettes and serving, unsurprisingly, cocktails! Great atmosphere on a Friday night. The Myddleton Arms is a traditional English pub serving classic dishes - they do a fantastic Sunday roast - and a great selection of wines and ales. Sit outside and watch the world go by or on their private terrace. The New Rose pub is a no-frills pub - unpretentious and a great atmosphere. Akari is a Japanese restaurant in an old Victorian pub - good sushi and reasonable prices. Head to Salut! for modern European food - think steak tartare and beautifully cooked duck breast. If you want to eat like a Londoner, make your way to Sutton and Sons. This is where the locals go to get proper fish n’ chips. It’s a bit smarter than your average chippy, with ‘crab on toast’ on the menu, but you can still get an authentic British battered fish here. It will only take you about 10 minutes to walk to the Angel Islington - another vibrant area with tons of restaurants, pubs, and bars to discover. Take a short trip over to Islington! It is such a lively and varied part of London with tons to see and do - here are some suggestions! You definitely won’t be short of delicious places to eat - Islington has become something of a destination for foodies with tons of new restaurants opening all the time and lots of long-standing institutions. Trullo has been a local favourite for a while now - incredible Italian food with a laid back atmosphere, this place gets consistently glowing reviews, so you will need to book. Bellanger is another popular choice. This lovely place is modelled on a French Brasserie and you can head there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for classic French dishes and a terrace looking out over Islington Green. Yida Sushi is a family-run Japanese restaurant - small and unassuming from the outside, this place is worth trying if sushi is your thing. For pubs, start with The Lamb. This cosy local specialises in craft beers and proper ale. They don’t serve food but they do allow delivery from a nearby pizza place among others. The Lord Clyde is another safe bet if you’re looking for beer. They also do terrific homemade bar snacks. 69 Colebrooke Row (also known as the ‘bar with no name’) is tucked away on a backstreet but it’s worth seeking out for their amazing cocktails. You’ll need to book if you want to get a seat. Highbury Fields, Islington’s largest park is a perfect place for a picnic, or you could make use of their tennis or netball courts. All the trendiest people head to Flashback Records, an independent record store. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable about every imaginable genre of music - you can spend hours browsing in here. You are also just a hop, skip and a jump away from other exciting areas of the city, and the nearby tube means you can get around London with ease. If you’re looking for peace and quiet in the midst of the London hubbub, then take a stroll down Canonbury’s tree-lined riverwalk, past gabled homes that once housed literary luminaries like George Orwell. Or you can hop on the train and be at the centre of the city in minutes. ## Transit Canonbury is the nearest station to the property, just a 10 minute walk away. This connects you to the Shoreditch High Street in just 10 minutes! Highbury and Islington is under a 15 minute walk away, and connects you to Oxford Circus in just 5 minutes. Exploring London could hardly be easier! Buses just out side the door on Essex road to Angel, Kings Cross and the West end. Buses on Southgate road for Shoreditch, Hoxton and the City in 5 mins.
