Positive: The property was in very good condition - clean and airy. Carpets and bathroom were pleasingly clean and fresh. Furnishing also pleasant.Good for couple or couple with baby (Bedroom is on mezzanine level. Cutlery, crockery and cooking facilities good for eating in / basic home cooking. We liked staying on a working farm which is ok if that is to your liking with all that goes with that.

Negative: Outlook from the unit is limited (workshop opposite) but it is a working farm. Sitting out area for the Taw is beyond second accommodation unit and is of stoned surface. (With small orchard adjacent) Catches the evening sun nicely. Would have preferred a slabbed or grassed area but may be that will be a future enhancement. Often we used the option of sitting on driveway outside of the entrance door. As with many Devon country locations, roads tend to be narrow / single track. At the time of our stay, what would have been principle route to farm from Great Torrington was closed due to ongoing water mains work for a new housing development. Although adding around 3 miles to the journey, we do suggest using the signed diversion route which is much safer than some of the single track alternatives with very limited passing capability. Final 400yd public highway somewhat potholed but farm s' own access road from there is good

Summary: We wanted a respite stay and this accommodation served us well
