Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This is an attractive old pub that has been sympathetically renovated into a gastropub, with first floor rooms located (motel style) externally, with metal steps up to the rooms, from the car park below. Very pleasant staff, and good food available! Great breakfast and service.

Negative: Although the pub is in a small village, it is adjacent to a building site for a new housing estate. I was there at the weekend, so there was no building work going on, but I could hear a fan or generator running all night. It wasn't loud enough to keep me awake though.
