Summary: Somehow we expected this property to be in Sudbury so when we finally ended up in the middle of nowhere we were a bit surprised. However the owners were incredibly helpful in assisting us to arrange a takeaway dinner and even bought our refreshments for us from Tesco as they were going that way. The old converted Millhouse is very interesting with all its memorabilia and nooks and crannies with a lovely garden we could sit in. It was clean and comfortable with a tasty continental breakfast but is next to a busy A road so there is a certain amount of traffic noise unless you book to stay in the family room which was very quiet as insulated by the thick old walls. Very good value for money and a perfect stopover spot.

Summary: Amazing place to stay. Very comfortable bed and a fantastic selection of breakfast. Limited parking areas but a lovely historic little hotel. En suite and all area open to visitors. Great friendly atmosphere and lovely couple who accommodate you and who offer information of anything going on in the areas around. Had a fantastic night and breakfast.

Summary: It was very disappointing that what was described as a Double room-Superior-Ensuite was in fact a standalone wooden ‘shed like’ cabin in the corner of a noisy garden (water feature one side and road the other). In addition when we arrived (at the agreed time) the room was not ready and when we accessed the room there was no toilet roll or shampoo/shower gel. When we returned after an evening out there was a very strong, unpleasant sewage smell - whilst the owner acted promptly and the smell subsided we felt we had to sleep with the windows open which was far from ideal.
