Summary: We had a pleasant overnight stay on our way home from Scotland. The room was fine, very clean and well presented. There was no TV but we didn't need it.
The bathroom had an easy access walk-in shower which was good for anyone with disabilities. However, we believe that all the rooms were accessed by a short but steep flight of stairs which were not easy for a disabled customer.
Dinner was very good from a reasonably good menu.

Summary: The Kings Arms was near our main route but in a quiet village. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was very comfortable and there were considerate touches eg. a little bottle of skimmed milk and a couple of sachets of oat milk as well as the usual tea and coffee. There was a socket conveniently below a mirror so I was able to dry and style my hair without any problem. The only criticism was that our room was above the lounge and we were subjected to loud singing and playing for over 3 hours. It was not possible to sleep until it stopped.

Summary: Wasn’t aware until shortly before our visit that we’d booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they weren’t selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!

Summary: This pub with rooms is perfect for what it is. Room was clean, modern, pleasant. Food was great. People were friendly, kind and welcoming. Close to motorway but quiet and in a pretty village. Used this place to split my journey from London to friends in Scotland. Will use it again. Bravo.
