Here you will find the finest standing example of a Norman castle in the whole of the UK along with a magnificent Norman cathedral, numerous museums, theatres, art galleries and a full range of leisure activities. The city boasts numerous lanes and alleys full of quirky shops as well as two indoor malls, numerous cafés and fine dining restaurants. The surrounding countryside provides endless opportunities for cycling and walking, for a change of pace, head to Thetford Forest and High Lodge, a recreational site with walks and cycle routes along with more challenging mountain bike trails, and Go Ape treetop adventures.
