Positive: I loved its "whimsical" character. The inside of the building is like a fascinating chamber of curiosities! Antiques, vintage decorations, colourful rags and carpets, staffed birds, a full armor, beautiful gravures and a gallery of portraits, pictures of cute little dogs and crystal sconces, a cosy fireplace, a little back yard, old fashioned wooden blinds and many unexpected details make it a unique place for those who are looking more for character than luxury. The single room was small but more than adequate with a kichenette and an ensuite bathroom. Although nothing was really new and everything was kind of vintage shabby the place was clean and provided all the basics. Part of the experience the lack of elevator. The climbing up to the third floor was a bit tough for me as the stairs become steep to the upper floors but I appreciated the vintage chord they have put as handrail on the wall to help guests with that. The location near Bayswater station is of course an advantage.

Summary: A "chamber of curiosities" hotel full of character.
