Summary: When we arrived at the property, we were taken aback by the exterior of the building. It was shabby and run down. Something that was not represented in the listing. The apartment was very cute and well decorated. The general cleanliness was good, but we had a big surprise behind all the blinds. The windows were all covered in cob/spider webs and many old dead bugs. Even in the sliding door to the small balcony. It was disgusting and unexpected as the previous review on 6/22 had been very critical of this condition. We expected it would have been addressed. There was a new AC unit on the main floor and it worked very well even on a mid-90s day. However, the units in the bedrooms we older, small and under powered for the size of the rooms. It was easily 15-20 degrees warmer upstairs than downstairs. Because of the buggy situation and hot upstairs, we decided that we could not stay there and made other arrangements at a hotel 30 minutes away in Dekalb. Victoria, the property manager was always responsive and understanding. She has agreed to refund us one days rental The location is great for Yorkville, Plano, Sandwich activities and if it can be represented that the webs and bugs can be cleaned and kept that way, I would think this is a good property as long as it is represented that this is a renovated older apartment building.
