Lumbylaw Farm is nestled equidistant between Rothbury to the west and the historic market town of Alnwick to the east, both being 6 miles. Edlingham has its own medieval castle and 12th-century church. This beautiful location is regularly used in TV and film sets; it is the location of one of ’The Hobbit’ films promotional posters, and some scenes for the ITV drama series, ’Beowulf’, were also filmed here.
A short drive west brings you to Rothbury, snuggled at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills.
