1 St Rhadagunds Cottage is a well presented, dog friendly holiday home that can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, it has a double bedroom with en-suite facilities on the ground floor, ideal for less mobile visitors. There’s also a well-equipped kitchen leading through to the dining room/conservatory, a cosy living room with Smart TV and log burner and a utility room/side entrance which can be used to store your bicycles. On the first floor are three spacious, double bedrooms one of which has en-suite facilities. The rear aspect rooms offer views towards the English Channel, whilst across the hall is a family bathroom. On the top floor is a children’s playroom, a lovely place for kids to escape and provide the adults with some peace and quiet.

Outside you can enjoy an evening meal on the sunken terrace before challenging one another to a game of table tennis. Both cottages have an enclosed, 3-tiered garden and when booked together on request, the garden gates can be opened between the two properties so all guests can enjoy the facilities.



St Rhadagunds Cottage can be found in an area known as the undercliff, a unique location between the cliff and the sea which provides a micro-climate, an ideal haven for a variety of flora and fauna, many species of which are only found in Mediterranean countries. The surrounding coastline gives access to beaches and coves such as Woody Bay and Steephill.

LOCATION:



St. Lawrence is a 5-minute drive from the cosmopolitan town of Ventnor, with its popular shingle and sandy beach, where freshly caught fish of the day can be purchased at the marina. Blackgang Chine is nearby, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, and within easy reach are the Needles and Alum Bay. Other attractions include Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Isle of Wight Pearl, Dinosaur Isle, a donkey sanctuary and Calbourne Water Mill, which has a 17th-century working watermill. Osborne House and Gardens (Queen Victoria’s holiday residence), and Carisbrooke Castle are a short distance away. The sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, and the popular resorts and Shanklin and Sandown are nearby.

Bedroom 2: double bed, bedside cabinets and en-suite

En-suite: shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet

Bedroom 3: double bed zip and link (can made as twins on request) and bedside cabinets.

Bedroom 4: double bed and bedside cabinets

Bathroom: bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail



SECOND FLOOR

Playroom: sofa and wall mounted Freeview TV (sloped ceiling)



OUTSIDE

Enclosed rear garden mainly laid to lawn, with patio terrace and garden furniture.

There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car, unless agreed prior with the owner of the property. Summary: The house and host were so warming. A very comfortable place to stay. Ample room for all our family. Very comfortable beds and everywhere was very clean. We loved the location, had some lovely walks to the beach but it was a bit to far for my 78 year old mum to walk (3 min car drive). Would highly recommend and we hope to stay again.
