The seaside resort of Cromer has a pier with its small theatre hosting live entertainment (in season), promenade and gardens, beach, Amazona Zoo and golf course. Carnival week is held the third week of August. A great way of exploring Norfolk’s coastline is the local bus service, ‘the coastal hopper’, which visits towns and villages along the Coast Road. Sheringham is the headquarters of the Poppy line North Norfolk Steam Railway, and has other attractions, including a water park, RNLI life boat station and museum, cliff top golf course, Sheringham Park (NT) and a town centre with shops, café and restaurants. Also nearby, visit the RSPB nature and bird reserves at Blakeney Quay, Morston Harbour, Cley next the Sea and Salthouse.
