Stay close to home and visit the Pendragon Castle (less than a mile away) where the sandstone remains are steeped in legend surrounding King Arthur and his father. Sixteen miles away, in Orton, you can enjoy a meal at the pub or time your visit around the renowned monthly farmers’ market, which boasts a delicious hog roast and live music.
Entering the cottage, find yourself in the entrance hall where you can leave muddy boots. After long days, head to the kitchen, which features granite worktops and a built-in eye-level oven for whipping up hearty meals to feed hungry guests. The separate utility room is a handy space, and the cloakroom has a WC. With exposed beams and stonework, the lounge/diner is a lovely spot where you can dine together and enjoy raising a toast at the table.
