From the Scottish Seabird Centre you can take a boat trip towards Bass Rock, Lamb and Craigleith to spot colonies of gannets, puffins and guillemots. Back on dry land, follow the John Muir Way or hike to North Berwick Law, an ancient volcanic hill, with other local attractions including the National Museum of Flight, Hailes Castle, Dirleton Castle and Gardens, and Preston Mill and Phantassie Doocot, all within 6 miles.
