Elv cottage is ideally situated with the River Dee a short stroll away and from here you can take the tiny ferry boat to the Meadows in the Summer months or just sit and indulge in the events surrounding the water. Fancy a pint? There is a traditional pub (5 mins walk) "The Mount" with an outstanding beer garden in an elevated position along the riverbank. Chester has been named "The jewel of the North - West" and quite rightly so, with some of the most fascinating historical aspects, the city boasts old walls, medieval churches, and Elizabethan timber - framed townhouses. Its charm and beauty have earned it a top spot among the nation's most enchanting thoroughfares. Explore the magnificent Chester Cathedral, spend a day at the zoo and if you time it right, the spectacular Chester Racecourse might be hosting an event, so grab your best finery and head on down to place your bets, it's only a short walk away.
