Just a short drive from the magnificent Lakes, the lovely old Dales villages of Hawes and Dent, Speight Cottage is the ideal jumping off point for those keen to explore the breathtaking scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. There are so many local places of interest to visit including Fairfield Mill, the picturesque village of Dent, Devils bridge and famous Ruskins view at nearby Kirkby Lonsdale. Sedbergh is a market town at the foot of the Howgill Fells, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with the Lake District National Park also nearby. The town offers shops, pubs and 12th century church within its olde worlde atmosphere. Be sure to pay Kendal and Hawes a visit.
