Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We loved being by the side of the river, fishing and watching the wildlife. We liked how close it was to the village and that we could park our car close to the property. We liked the welcome pack with washing up liquid and a tea towel. The open plan layout was good.

Negative: The property was adequate, reasonably clean, but not spotless. For the price, we expected more home comforts ie: dishwasher, a washing machine and a large freezer compartment. We do understand however, that the property is too small for all these items. The oven was okay but not great, and the frying pan needs to be replaced. The main bugbear was that the advertising did not state that the external grounds were communal. There was no privacy when sitting out onto the small patio area. People walking past our lounge window was not great. Had we known about this, we probably would not have booked it. The neighbours were very friendly but we had no privacy at all.
