If you require any of the extras listed in the house rules / description during your stay, you must inform us at least 3 days before your arrival. If there is a fee attached, this will be requested through Airbnb.
Bed linen, towels, electricity, and the final clean are included in the rental payment. Additional charges will only occur for breakages or any additional cleaning. The owner would appreciate it if the cottage was left in the same order as you found it. Thank you!
While we hope that none of our guests experience issues during their stay, we do need to point out that due to the cottage's location on the Isle of Skye, some services can be temperamental and can take a lengthy delay to get resolved. Also, to replace any broken appliances, it can take weeks for a delivery to happen. We will at all times try our hardest to rectify any issues, but please bear with us as there can be issues due to locations that are out of our control.
Mobile phone signals can be very patchy on the Isle of Skye; please have all directions and key details to hand before arrival, as parts of the island do not have 3G/4G/5G access while on the move. Wi-Fi at Solas Alainn (previously Seadrift) is a complimentary service. Unless the Owner has stopped the subscription for the service, if Wi-Fi is not working during your stay, no compensation will be offered. However, the Agent / the Owner / the Housekeeper will endeavour to make the service operational. Please do not press the reset button on the hub at Solas Alainn (previously Seadrift). Do turn it off and back on, but if you press reset it will wipe the all the data held on the hub and a new hub will be required for the property.
Arrival time is anytime after 4pm, and departure time is before 10am. The property operates a self check in so you do not need to rush and meet anyone there. The cottage directions and key information are sent 14 days before arrival.
Any request to amend a booking after the initial 24hr period must be made in writing and no later than 28 days before the arrival date. If the amendment request is successful, there may be an increase in the rental payable by the guest. An administrative charge of £45 will apply to all amendments made and is payable by the guest. All guests should be aware that it may not be possible to amend the booking in question. In these circumstances, the original booking will still stand.
