Once a working flour mill, now a warm and welcoming getaway, The Old Mill is full of rustic charm and thoughtful touches. Think exposed beams, original brickwork, and sandstone floors - all made extra snug with underfloor heating.
Sleeping up to 6 guests, the cottage features two beautiful ensuite bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge for additional flexibility - ideal for families or groups of friends.
You’ll find a fully equipped oak and granite kitchen (perfect for lazy breakfasts or speedy roasts in the ninja air fryer!) and a comfy lounge with a deep-buttoned Chesterfield sofa made for curling up with a good book & a cuppa.
Step outside into your private garden, where a bubbling hot tub awaits - perfect for unwinding under the stars. Just a short stroll away, enjoy private sessions in the indoor heated pool, peaceful walks around the onsite fishing lake, and space for little ones to play.
Best of all? Dogs are warmly welcomed — Bonnie, our resident German Shepherd, gives her paw of approval 🐾

The Swimming Pool
Our lovely indoor pool is shared between the three Barnacre cottages - but don’t worry, you’ll have it all to yourself when it’s your turn!
It’s fully heated and bookable in private slots between 9am and 5pm each day. We use a simple online app to keep it easy and fair, so you can enjoy your swim in total peace and privacy.
The pool is right next to Barnacre Green Cottage and the children’s play area, or just a short stroll down our little country lane from The Old Mill and The Shippon. (Take a look at our site map to see how it’s all laid out!)
And just outside the pool entrance, you’ll also find our outdoor barrel sauna — the perfect spot to warm up, wind down, and feel like you're on a proper retreat.
