Nestled in woodland within the South Downs National Park and designed by an award winning architect. One of two oak framed cabins within a stones throw of the historic and beautiful village, Alfriston which have recently won a Prestige Award for the Best Cabin 2022.
With a log burner, flushing toilet, hot shower and an abundance of cosy charm. Relax in the comfort of our beautiful, fully equipped luxurious cabin. Reconnect around the firepit and unwind in the wood fired hot tub for stays of two nights or more (please note this is an additional charge payable locally).
Child friendly, with friends, or simply a romantic getaway – why not bring your dog too? Each cabin has a double bed on the mezzanine and a double sofa bed downstairs.
Experience local wildlife outside your window, inhale the fresh country air and be amazed at the surrounding countryside and the beach is not far too.
Let your imagination and sense of adventure go wild!
If you’re lucky, you may even see a badger, woodpecker, butterflies and swans to name a few. Or hear the twit twoo of an owl. Also look out for the amazing Spitfire airplane flying across the river from time to time.

The cabins are open all year – a great place to explore with children, dog friendly, a romantic night away, special occasions, mountain bikers, paragliders, canoeists, star gazers, painters or why not rent both of our cabins with friends! We have lovely woodburners in the cabins for those cozy nights in, or hire a firepit and sit under the stars. Many of our visitors walk or cycle to our cabins and then continue on and complete part or all of the South Downs Way. We also have an electric car charging point and are working towards becoming carbon-neutral. If you would like to travel via train, we now have our own private hire licence and are happy to arrange to pick you up from local train stations for a fixed fee.
With self-catering facilities, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen has a fridge with freezer, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, a toaster and kettle.
Outside you can enjoy the firepit area (please see extra's) whilst gazing up at the stars.
Wi-Fi is available, but why not switch off and relax.
Linen, towels and a hair dryer are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.
We are in a quiet residential location and therefore may not be suitable for larger groups.
There is one car parking space per Woodland Cabin on site.
We do have some extra’s on site (subject to availability), please do let us know if you would like us to prepare these ahead of your stay. Happy for you to let me know once the weather forecast is more reliable:
*Wood fired hot tub for the duration of your stay (minimum of 2 nights) @ £50 per night, so £100 for 2 nights, £150 for 3 nights etc
*Firepit/BBQ hire for the duration of your stay - includes a sack of wood and accessories £22.50 (For safety we ask that there are no outside fires without the firepit please). Do let us know if you would like some marshmallows or some of our sausages – we have a pack of 6 at £4, 2 burgers for £3 and unsmoked bacon for £4, for you to enjoy on the BBQ or take home
*Fresh eggs from our free range chickens £2.50 (6 eggs), or 2 for £1. Please do leave the egg box in the cabin so that we can fully recycle - we are only offering these on site through the autumn/winter months as ‘the girls’ slow down laying
*Additional bag of dry logs £8.50
* Home made jams, chutneys and marmalade £3.00 – we currently have Orange marmalade, Blackberry jam, Mixed Fruit jam
* We offer electric car charging to our guests by invitation and charge a per kwh rate
* Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £5 per dog per night (up to 2 small dogs are suitable for the hut)
* Additional sack of logs £8.50
* Pure apple juice pressed from our own orchard £3.50 per litre or 3 for £10

Main House Rules:
- Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out is 10:30 am.
- Smoking/Vaping is not allowed.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property (one space per hut/cabin)
- Well behaved pets are allowed and we suggest a maximum of two medium size dogs (or cats) are suitable for the cabin.
